Glacier Park, "Grinnel Glacier Trail" Canvas Art Print by Joe Abbrescia

Glacier Park, "Grinnel Glacier Trail" Canvas Art Print by Joe Abbrescia is now available in two sizes: 12" x 16" or 18" x 24".

The Grinnell Glacier Trail is one of the most scenic hikes in Glacier National Park. When hiking the Grinnell Glacier Trail, a hiker will pass by crystal clear mountain lakes, towering mountains and will have the unique opportunity to stand on a glacier if one chooses. The trail runs for 6 miles and has a vertical gain of 1600 feet. The first two miles of the trail are essentially flat. Beyond that, the trail has a gradual incline up to its end. The trail ends at Upper Grinnell Lake and Grinnell Glacier at the base of the continental divide.

What is an Abbrescia Giclee Print ?

Giclee (pronounced "gee-clay") is the term used for what is currently the most advanced digital fine art printmaking technology. High quality digital images are created from the original artwork and printed with 8-color to 12-color professional printers and archival quality inks onto various surfaces. The giclée printing process provides incredibly detailed prints that last longer (in excess of 120 years) and have a brighter, crisper gamut of color that is far beyond that of lithography, producing a print that is rival to the original painting.
In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.
Giclee prints can be produced on many substrates, including canvas and paper. Abbrescia Fine Art usually chooses to print on canvas. By printing on canvas, the prints are rival only to the original oil painting as they have the same color and the texture is very near the original. Giclee art prints on canvas are also intended to be hung the same as an original painting, without glass. In many cases, a giclee art print on canvas is mistaken for an original.
Canvas prints are much more durable than paper prints as they do not crease when rolled for mailing and do not tear or get crumpled as easily.
Giclee art prints can be made in various sizes up to and including the size of the original painting without any contortion. Joe Abbrescia completed many large paintings such as 40" x 60" and even larger for private commissions.
We invite you to browse our giclee art prints as we have many sizes and prices available.
Each Giclée canvas will be shipped ready to be stretched and framed (without glass, just like an original painting) by your local professional framer.
Thanks for your interest!
